My bullying story...

By the way i will no longer be posting braces posts as i have no braces anymore. but i will still be posting everyday type blogs.


I have been bullied from a very young age, I remember just starting nursery school and having no family around me, only children my age, but because I was the quiet one in the corner who never really wanted to talk out loud, that’s when the children started to pick on me, trip me up and treat me like nothing. And then junior years came along, this was my worst Primary school experience as I got threatened by this lad to do “things” to him or he would make my life “HELL” so he said, I was only about 8 or 9 and him the same but still having to be but through such ordeal at a young innocent age was the most horrible experience ever!!Moving on to the final years of Primary school, I thought these years would be the easiest, little I knew what was in store for me… the same lad that pestered me in the school toilets, still tormented me in year 5 and 6 but along with pretty much all of the school, he spread rumors about me, said I had “GERMS” and no one came near me, if I walked into a classroom all I got was looks, stares, and laughs, I got called horrible names and kept getting distracted by the lads in my class, poking me in the back until it got to me and I had to turn round, couldn’t say nothing of course I was so insecure and shy.One day, I was walking across the playground and two lads where swinging a skipping rope around and as soon as I walk past them they swung it around my neck until I choked. The diner lady came over and took me to see the head mistress, she saw the red mark around my neck and I don’t even think she punished the two lads really.The next day at home it was a Monday morning and I was in bed, I didn’t want to wake up, obviously as id cried myself to sleep every night since all the bullying happened. I bottled it inn all that time since nursery I told no one – not even my parents!

I was in the bathroom, locked the door and mum heard me crying, as soon as I heard mum ask me what’s wrong I went silent, she kept asking and asking what was wrong, but I didn’t want to say, I didn’t want to say because I didn’t want to get bullied anymore for being a “snitch”.But eventually after about an hour of complete silence and not saying a thing, I told mum everything little by little (tears here and there), mum immediately rang up the school and told the head mistress what had happened and I had a week off school while all the kids got a “telling off” and the main bullies got made to write me a sorry letter but only one person did. Haha – and still today my parents don’t know about what that one lad did to me in the toilets…

OH MY GOD NO! ! ! ! :'(

Hey, well im not a happy bunny right now, i was out having a meal and i thought it would be clever to put my clear retainers wrapped in a tissue in my pockets, oh no, i finished eating, went to put retainers inn, no problems, till i licked my top one, there was a crack from the top to the bottom of the mold, thankfully its not cracked in half, i am going to have to phone ortho tomorrow to ask if it will still to its job.. meh i shouldnt have jinxed. Word of advice, if its not in ur mouth put it in the case

BRACES ARE OFF!!

Hell yes! You got it, my braces are finally off as of the 30/05/2012! I cannot believe I've waited for years, here's a pic:

I am really happy with the results, and so are all my family friends .

I will be getting my retainer next week and i have an upper bonded retainer. So yeah thank goodness i decided not to have my braces off a month before what a difference the elastics have made.I'd like to thank all my orthodontists who have dealt with my case and have been patient with my teeth progress.

Now im no longer a metal braceface mouth, but don't worry this isn't the last you will be seeing from me, as i will be promoted to retainer girl! :)Keep a look out for more up close pics of my new teeth :)

Making Progress :)

Hey there, This is just a quick post, just to let you know that my bite has furthered progress and is coming together like it should more!I'm so happy, i'll post some pics later hopefully, so keep a look out, my next appointment is the 30th of May.

Braces Elastics Picture Update - 14/04/2012

Hey all just thought i'd show u how my braces are doing at the moment :) still wearing my elastics - massive improvement on the first few pics i took a few months ago, really happy!! what do you think? :)

Braces Update - Elastics 30.3.2012

Heya guys, been a long time since i last updated properly about my braces-  i do apologize - anyway i went in today at 3pm and they lay me back in the chair, looked at my teeth and said some stuff about my bite and said for me to continue wearing the elastics and he re cemented the molar band - YUCK! (those who have braces will know how disgusting that stuff is). Then he put some more turquoise ligatures on my brackets and said where gunna take a mold of your top teeth so that we can but a bonded metal wire on the back of your top teeth so that when you get your brace off, they won't move back! - so that was very exciting - by the way the moulds aren't as bad as people make out - i would know as i struggled to breathe through my mouth and nose - but i managed - somehow so yeah next appointment is in May! :)

Heyy Braces Update

Don't question why this is in quotes,just wanted to see what it looked like for a change,so yeah my elastics bite progress is going great actually I no longer have a weird shameful bite, my upper teeth actually bite down in front of bottom teeth so I am on my way to being promoted to retainer girl wool woo wool you know it! The only thing that I am thinking will need correcting is the small gaps, other than that I think my braces are pretty swwwwwweeeeeettttttttt and ready to come off :D smiles all round

Rubber Bands - Teeth update (13/3/2012)

Heyyyaaa alll, how're you, just thought i'd give you a quick braces update thingy!! :)

The pictures where taken on this date so yeah, i think there better!! :)

Oh and just so you know, i wasn't told to wear them 24/7 , my ortho only told me from around 3pm till next morning, obviously i'd replace them after every meal etc, and after i brush teeth, you get the drift...

Rubber Bands - Teeth update (28/2/2012)

Hey so i thought id show some pictures of how my teeth look after having been wearing rubber bands since the 9th of Feb :D

As you can see in the last picture my top tooth looks slightly crooked i think thats just caused by the elastics moving the upper jaw forward.

But yeah tell me what you think i am pleased with the result so far, if you check an earlier post you'll see the difference.

Good or Bad news?...

Hey all went to ortho today, she had a look in my mouth and had me explain what i was concerned about, like i said in a previous post it was the position of my bite. She also explained how it cannot always be fixed as its to with the way my jaw and face has grown.

Anyway she changed my wires, and put normal ligatures around the brackets (top and bottom) i asked for turquoise this time :D And she asked if i had to wear elastics and i told her yeah, only at night for a month or too, so guess what, I'm back on elastics in evenings and nights, she said if anything would change it would be in 8 weeks so my next appointment is on the 30th March :)

Yippee!

Hey guys, i am really feeling a lot less worried and anxious about my teeth now as i went to see my ortho and when i lay back in the chair the woman (nicer one) asked me if i was happy with everything, i spoke up YAY! and i said how i dont think my bite is correct, she asked me who i was with, i said my mum, so they called her inn, she got a picture up of how my teeth where when i first started off, "WOW REALLY EFFIN MESSED UP!!" I was really horrified and shocked as to how my teeth used to look prior to getting braces, anyhoww the ortho explained to my mum how theirs 3 primary occlusions/forms of bites, Class 1 which is also known as the "perfect/normal" bite, Class 2 is where the upper teeth protrude really far out infront of the lower teeth this also known as a "overbite/jet/deep bite", Class 3(which i am) where my teeth are borderline (so teeth touching but my lowers sitting just a slight i mean a slight bit infront of my upper teeth" so that being said i am so relieved i am not getting them off today, she said she will have a word with my main ortho (the one who i don't like) and ask if there's anything she can do to bring my top teeth more to be a class 1 bite, lol she said "suck your thumb" might help hehe i lolled, anyways so i gotta go in next week on the 9th of February for a consultation/review with my ortho to see what she can do about improving my bite.

So for any of you that where in my boat, - SPEAK UP!! Say what your problem is with them and they will help you
Yeah it'll mean you have metal on your teeth for a bit longer but if you've had them on for 3 years like me its worth the wait - trust me!

Small Upper Jaw?

Heyy all, i am still concerned about my bite not being right how it should be - example:

So yeah see how these upper teeth are ontop/infront of her lowers, where as my teeth - examples:

And you can clearly see the difference, my lowers are sitting infront of lowers im pretty sure this is called a crossbite. Anyways i came to the conclusion that i have a smaller upper jaw, so achieving the above look may be impossibleee!!

Hey so basically i had an appointment this morning and there was terrible traffic on the way their so i was 20 mins late, thankfully they understood and never canceled on me, i got there, got called into the office recliny chair thingy, she looked in my mouth told me to bite down, and she asked if i was okay with everything and am i happy, i said yeah obviously, but i want your opinion do my teeth look ok???!

So yeah she had a quick loook and that was it, she said i could go, so i really panicked for nothing at all lol...Yet she wants to see me next wednesday :S
